Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups snow peas, trimmed

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil (or vegetable oil)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if desired). Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl, ensuring they are evenly coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Prepare the Snow Peas: While the shrimp is marinating, rinse the snow peas under cold running water. Trim the ends of the peas and set them aside for later use.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside, leaving the oil in the pan.

Stir-Fry the Snow Peas: In the same skillet, add the trimmed snow peas and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they are tender-crisp and bright green.

Combine and Sauce: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the snow peas. Pour in the reserved marinade, swirling the pan to coat all the ingredients. Allow the mixture to simmer for about a minute until the sauce thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Transfer the shrimp and snow pea mixture to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.

Enjoy: Serve immediately alongside steamed rice or noodles, allowing everyone to savor the delightful honey garlic sauce!
