Easy Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced

2 cups mixed vegetables (red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli florets, and snap peas)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch fresh ginger, finely grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for added depth)

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions, for garnish

Prep the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly to ensure the beef is well-coated. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

    Heat the Pan: In a large wok or frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
