2 cups whole milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

4 cups frozen hash browns (thawed, or two bags of pre-cooked hash browns)

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to preheat at 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking.

    Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet heated over medium heat, add the breakfast sausage. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently and breaking apart the sausage with a spoon until it is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat from the pan, then set the cooked sausage aside.

      Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a spacious mixing bowl, crack the 8 eggs and add the whole milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well integrated and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

        Combine Ingredients: Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter. Evenly spread the thawed hash browns across the bottom of the dish to form a base layer. Next, distribute the cooked sausage evenly over the hash browns. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and hash browns, making sure the mixture covers all the ingredients.

          Add Cheese: Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese across the top of the casserole, ensuring even coverage for a melty experience.
